![]() Dwarf women definitely had some association with being bearded in the Forgotten Realms, to the point that "Demihuman Deities" not only mentions beards on the dwarven goddesses, but actually has a picture of a bearded Sharindlar. or was it that only Deep Dwarves have a culture in which their women do not shave? It's late and it's been a long time since I've read it, so I don't really recall. ![]() ![]() In 2nd edition, "the Complete Book of Dwarves" states that only Deep Dwarves have bearded women. ![]() I may be misremembering, but the topic does not appear at all in BECMI's "The Dwarves of Rockhome". So, here's one I really want to clear up: what was the precise relationship with D&D dwarf women and beards? I've heard that they had them in the earliest editions, in an homage to Tolkien, but I haven't been able to find any sources for it. ![]() So, I've been doing my best to educate myself on the esoterica of the early editions of D&D, but my knowledge still has some crucial gaps in it. ![]()
